The sun shone on our garden and made it a wonderful setting for our Tropical ‘Aloha’ summer party organized by our wonderful Activities Team.
Residents, staff and guests gathered in our extended outdoor space to admire the plants and residents artwork whilst supping on a refreshing glass of summer punch. Delicious smells, meanwhile, wafted from the sizzling bbq prepared by our chef Micheal and his team and our Centre Director was on hand to serve the delicious food.
There wasn’t long to wait until everyone was able to tuck in to the mouth-watering food. To top it all, we were royally entertained by the aptly named ‘West Bound Piccadilly’ with their repertoire of mainly, country music with gentle harmonies, led by Emma. Guests had a sing-a-along to some of the better known songs and there were a few toe tappers too.
What better way to savour the summer than to share it with our friends, family and loved ones?
Congratulations on a truly wonderful Aloha Fiesta on Saturday 9th August.
The music and barbecue made it quite obvious there was great fun going on… Frannie has always responded to music and when the band sang Jolene I could hear Frances repeating Jolene, Jolene, Jolene. I was thrilled that she made a connection and could repeat the lyrics. Such events are wonderful for residents and families. I bet all the staff want to work those days as well.
