Our series of music workshops, bringing together pupils from Wendell Park Primary School and some of our residents, reached its conclusion after six glorious weeks of music making.
The workshops were made possible by leader and musician, Mary Gibbs, with the support of not-for-profit company IMM (Intergenerational Music Making) and Hammersmith & Fulham Council. Under Mary’s expert and enthusiastic guidance, young and old experienced and demonstrated various aspects of music making from beatboxing to gospel.
Everyone had a try and it was obvious from the smiles and laughter, how much they all enjoyed themselves. We think the benefits will be long lasting.
Mary too, was delighted to have had the opportunity to make this event happen.
