Sunshine, Strawberries, Tea and Music

The sun shone and it was the perfect weather for a breath of fresh air and some outdoor entertainment at our annual Strawberry Tea.

Most donned their straw hats and for those who didn’t have one, there was shelter under a gazebo, if they needed it. Residents, their relatives and friends thoroughly enjoyed the singing and music from Morris Tamir, a regular favourite. Morris’s claim to fame is that he can sing in 44 languages. Some of the audience sang along with him (mostly the English songs) and several even got up and danced.

With all that energy expended, what better than to enjoy a traditional English summer treat of strawberries and cream? And, of course, tea! The event was the ideal way to give residents a chance to socialise and to make them feel truly at home.

People really look forward to this date in the calendar and thankfully, this year, the weather played ball.
