With summer and Wimbledon in full flow, there’s only thing on everybody’s mind – strawberries. And with this most British of summer fruits comes The Chiswick’s annual strawberry tea party celebration.
Our lovely garden was the delightful setting and allowed residents, staff, family and friends to truly enjoy the sights, scents and tastes of summer.
Straw hats were on display as people tucked into their strawberries and cream – plus the obligatory tea, of course…and cake!
The lovely Victoria, who has entertained us before, arrived in a suitably, sparkly outfit to match her personality and performed a raft of popular hits from the 50s and 60s. There was everything from Connie Francis, Brenda Lee and Cliff Richard to The Beatles. She did not sing unaccompanied as, once the music started, a large tranche of the audience re-discovered that they knew most, if not all, of the words and sang along too.
A great time was had by all. Even the weather performed for us.
