New Staff Reach First Milestone

Care Certificate Ceremony

Here at The Chiswick, we are extremely proud of our staff as well as the role that we play in helping them on the path to successful careers . It is with delight, therefore, that we can announce another bumper crop of relatively new employees who have successfully completed their initial Care Certificate workbook.

This time, no fewer than 16 people attained the required standard. This covers 15 different aspects of their work including hydration and nutrition, privacy and dignity, safeguarding vulnerable adults and infection prevention and control. Typically, the training takes about 12 weeks and their progress is recorded in a workbook which will stay with them throughout their careers and document everything they learn. It will also serve as a useful refresher when updating their skills.

We hope that, with the support and encouragement of our training team and their colleagues, they will take the next step and work towards a Higher Development Award.

Steve Winter, our Centre Director, recently joined eight of the successful certificate recipients to celebrate their achievement.  (The others were either not on shift or busy elsewhere). Pictured with him are: Diluksana, MD Foyjul, Rachana, Rowel, Sajeer , Deepika , Karunarathna and Natasha. Steve said: “I’d like to extend my heartfelt congratulations to everyone who put in the hard work and dedication to earn their certificates. They should be incredibly proud of their achievement. We hope they found this first stage of their training journey rewarding and that they continue on the path to long and successful careers as part of The Chiswick team.”
