There were smiles and even a few tears as professional tenor, Harry Kersley, treated residents and staff to an unforgettable repertoire of operatic and popular songs.
A classically trained opera singer, Harry studied at the Royal College of Music and Trinity Laban Conservatoire before embarking on an international career that has seen him perform across the globe, including for royalty in both the UK and the Middle East.
He captivated his audience with his beautiful renditions of ‘Strangers in the Night’, Mario Lanza’s ‘Be My Love’ and almost lifted the roof off with ‘Nessun Dorma’ which put a lump in the throat and a glisten in the eye of many.
It was all helped along with a glass of Prosecco to toast Harry’s memorable performance. As the applause echoed around the room, one thing was clear: if it’s good enough for Covent Garden, it’s good enough for The Chiswick!
