Congratulations to Our New Nurses

Nurses graduation

Two years ago, we brought you news of two members of staff, Carmen and Maria, who had completed their apprenticeships with CNC to become Nursing Associate Graduates. This is a role that sits between health/care worker and registered nurse.

Both decided to continue their studies, whilst working as part of our team, and have now completed a further two years of study and practical work. We are delighted to report that the duo have now become fully-fledged State Registered Nurses. It’s a dream that Maria, in particular, has harboured for quite a while, as she makes clear in a note written to all those at The Chiswick who supported her journey. ‘I am very grateful for the opportunity and support you have given me that change my life and my family. To be a registered nurse  was my biggest dream but impossible due to my circumstances. The Chiswick Nursing Centre made them possible.’

Centre Director, Steve Winter, is as delighted for the pair now as he was when they achieved their Nursing Foundation degrees. “We are committed to providing professional pathways and a career ladder for those who show an aptitude and a desire to gain or improve their qualifications. It is one of the reasons why we support the Nursing Apprenticeship Programme. Since they first joined us, Carmen and Maria have demonstrated the attributes that have seen them progress as hard-working and well-respected members of our team. As Maria has said, this latest achievement is life-changing and I am, personally, thrilled that The Chiswick has played a role in this. We all benefit and I hope that both will continue to be an important part of our nursing set-up well into the future.”
