Everyone at The Chiswick loves an alpaca. Over several years, we have been fortunate to be visited by these lovely animals on a regular basis.
The creatures’ quiet natures, endearing faces and soft, woolly coats, leave residents smiling, calm and wanting more.
Our latest visitors were Dennis and Truffle. Truffle, the dark coated alpaca, has been here before so almost knew the way around. Truffle and Dennis (the blonde) were as good as gold – until Dennis thought that Truffle was getting too much of a good thing, especially where there were treats to be had. He didn’t stay grumpy for long and, once re-united with Truffle, returned to behaving beautifully.
The visit from the alpacas brought so much joy to everyone at the home, with plenty of smiles and laughter shared throughout the day. Residents loved interacting with the gentle animals, enjoying cuddles, feeding time, and the calming companionship they brought. It was wonderful to see the happiness on residents’ faces as the alpacas made their way around the garden, creating such a warm and memorable experience for all involved.
The visit was much appreciated, as it always is.
