A Musical Afternoon to Remember

Chiswick activities Coordinator, resident with Tony Collins Singer and Fiddle Player

Residents at The Chiswick Nursing Centre enjoyed a truly uplifting afternoon of live music and entertainment, as talented musician Tony Collins delighted everyone with his fiddle playing and much loved sing-along favourites.

Tony sang and played a lively repertoire that ranged from Elvis and Michael Buble to Johnny Cash. Residents and staff alike bobbed, swayed, danced and sang along with enthusiasm – so by the time the tambourines came out, they were shaken with gusto. One resident got so immersed in the occasion that she remarked afterwards: “I forgot I was ill.”!

The finale offered a nod to the World Cup as everyone sang at their top of their voices, clapping and stomping along to ‘Sweet Caroline’.

Our hearty thanks to Tony who did a wonderful job and left everyone slightly out of breath but smiles on their faces and an afternoon to remember.
